Urban Farmer partnered with its subsidiary Isibaya Holding Zambia to co-host a stand at the 94th annual Agricultural and Commercial Show in Lusaka from the 27th of July to the 1st of August 2022.
The theme for the show was, “Innovation through technology – Technology transforms businesses”. This provided the perfect platform for Urban Farmer to showcase U-MIX, its new digitally supported mini-macro solution for small-holder farmers.
A U-MIX premix is a blend of all the essential nutrients needed to produce a well-balanced poultry or livestock feed. It offers the small-holder farmer the benefit of all the ingredients and technologies of the world’s leading animal nutrition and health companies. The U-MIX web-based App and mobile communication platform allow for information gathering, and sharing, and an enhanced user experience.
The goal of U-MIX is to make good nutrition readily available, enabling farmers to utilise their surplus crops to make small batches of feed ultimately producing their own affordable, safe and high-quality animal protein.
