Following our participation in the SASAS Northern Branch Student Day, the Urban Farmer team hosted an online Career Day for 48 animal science students.

The session focused on practical questions students often face as they approach graduation, including how to enter the job market without experience, the career opportunities available within the industry, which skills are worth developing and how to approach networking and industry events.

Our team shared their own career paths, lessons learned, challenges overcome and perspectives gained from working within the animal agriculture industry.

The aim was simple: to give students a practical and realistic view of what comes after university and to make the transition into the working world feel a little more accessible.

Engaging with these enthusiastic future professionals was an encouraging reminder of the talent and potential within our industry.

The future of animal agriculture is in good hands.
