Urban Farmer Zambia, Name Change – Lusaka, Zambia

Ten years after incorporating its first subsidiary, Steven, Michael, and Kate gathered with the team in Lusaka to mark the renaming of Isibaya Holdings to Urban Farmer Zambia.

 

The occasion was marked by an event hosted at the Urban Hotel on the 14 th of November 2024 and attended by customers, suppliers, and service providers to Urban Farmer, as well as stakeholders from the Zambian livestock and poultry industries.

 

“I believe that our name is an incredibly important part of our identity. The opportunity for our Zambian company to share its name with the holding company in South Africa is an important confirmation of our shared vision, mission and values.” – Steven Payne, founder and managing director of Urban Farmer.

 

Urban Farmer’s vision is to facilitate the production of animal protein in Africa. Urban Farmer supports small-scale and commercial farmers and feed millers in Zambia, and through its customers Urban Farmer enables the production of eggs, milk and meat adequate to meet the protein needs of more than a million Zambians on a daily basis.
