In May 2024, Hy-Line together with Hybrid Poultry Farms Ltd Zambia, held the first Hy-Line Brown Technical Seminar for Sub-Saharan Africa in Lusaka, Zambia. About 80 poultry owners, managers, and VIPs from related industries attended the event, which brought together the latest news about Hy-Line Brown genetics and topics pertinent to the African industry, including maximising saleable chicks through management, disease prevention, nutrition, and Hy-Line’s vision for the continent’s egg industry.

Craig Hill, Urban Farmer’s technical manager, was invited as a guest speaker at the event and delivered a talk titled “Breeder Solutions for Africa.” The event was a success for Urban Farmer, who were one of the sponsors of the event.
